Tara, from Sew Tara!

Tara is a super cute crafty mom who has her blog over on Sew Tara. She makes some really adorable stuff. She's even giving away one of her Kool Aid Jammer totes! Thanks Tara! Okay, enough from me, let's hear it from her:
1. Who are you? (name, age, location, hobbies, etc.)
I'm a 30 something mommy to 2 little boys, Wesley is 3 and Nate is 1. I love painting, drawing, cardmaking, reading, sewing, scrapbooking, anything creative! I'm also a teacher. Right now I work every other day in a Special Education classroom. As if all that wasn't enough, now I'm a steady crafter, blogger, maker and seller of fun stuff!

2. What are you inspired by most, or who?
I'm the kind of person who can see something and then make one myself. I've made one quilt years ago, I knit one scarf for myself, I guess I dabble around. Lately I'm stuck on sewing mostly creating my own things, I'm not sure I'm that great at following patterns but I'm learning! I've been creating things for use at home or for babies and kids. I think handmade and unique gifts are awesome so I've been focusing on making those and giving/selling them.
3. Are you obsessed with anything? i.e elephants
Anything cute, I've made some etsy purchases lately, fabric mostly - pandas, hedgehogs, mushrooms all things cute.

4. What are you currently working on?
Currently I'm working on some bags and totes, I've got two on the go one from Sew Spoiled and another from a Keyka Lou pattern.

5. Where can we find more of you?
At my blog, www.sewtara.com
etsy, http://www.etsy.com/shop/sewtara
flickr, http://www.flickr.com/photos/sewtara/
facebook, http://www.facebook.com/sewtara (like me, I like watching that number grow)
twitter, http://twitter.com/SewTara

6. What are your top five blogs/websites?
www.oneprettything.com - all the work is done for you, I can't tell you how many tabs I end up opening. Soooo many ideas!
www.etsy.com - I'm buying handmade as much as I can. Chances are when buying on Etsy no one is going to have the item already. I love seeing something and knowing it's so perfect for someone, it's such a fun, thoughtful process.
blogs by crafty mommies! - it's nice to see that even with little ones underfoot sneaking in some creative time is possible!
www.RedVelvetArt.com online classes - like Style School, Indie Biz 2.0, and Tell your Story . . . . I'm afraid I might be addicted to taking them. How convenient that there seems to be something starting somewhere just as something is ending somewhere else . . . .
Thanks for sharing Tara! Tara is giving away one of her totally green tote made from Kool Aid Jammer pouches. These things are so cute, I'm thinking about leaving a comment so I have a chance at one. :o)

This will be open for a week, leave a comment and we'll announce the winner next Tuesday!
