Should we keep it free?

The Monster and I have started Sac Craft Social Club. It’s a get together where we meet with other crafty types and gossip and snack and create.
We’ve had one meeting so far and it was so fun! We want to try to have one meeting per month. However last time we held it at a hotel in a conference room and it cost us some moola. We’re both a little “too indie”, okay that’s just a discreet way to say we are more often in the ebb of the money sea instead of the flow…okay okay, we can’t afford to always shell out the cash for the room.
So here I am with a question and we are begging for your feedback , pretty please? Can you tell us if you would be willing to pay (like 5 bucks, 10 at the very most but we don’t even really want to go that high! We probably won’t either) to help offset the cost or if we should keep it free? The more people that come the cheaper it would be, so should we base it on our RSVP for that meeting? Please be totally honest, you can be anonymous or blind CC us an e-mail if you think we’ll judge (which we will NOT, nor ever! We’re just not judge-y.).
We’ve just been having a hard time finding free locations to have the meetings. I want to just have it at my house but I totally hear the collective groan of “Ellllk Grooooove!” So we try to keep it in Sacramento to make it easy for everyone to get there.
Cassidy already sent out an e-mail to anyone that has signed up to get the SCSC updates, so if you are interested and didn’t get it then please e-mail us to be added and you can respond to the e-mail or leave a comment here.
Thanks so much for your support and feedback! We appreciate it so so much!

Also would you be ok with actually coming to elk grove? We found a place here but didnt know if anyone would actually drive to elk grove. let us know

I live in Elk Grove too!!! What a small world!

I'd be willing to pay $5 to go. I'd love to meet crafty people.

Here's another idea, my Bunco group has been reserving a room at the local Round Table. It's actually quite big and they don't charge a fee. Everyone in the room gets 10% food and drinks are buy one get one free. There's no minimum purchase required. Also, we usually set aside a table or two to eat at so that we don't get our other stuff dirty.

Howdy,
I totally would be willing to pay or drive to Elk Grove. (Considering I drive to Lodi five days a week, I think I can make it to Elk Grove.)
Also, what about the library? I was wondering if they had any rooms to rent out that could be a bit cheaper.
Wherever it is, I'll try to make it :)
