Flower Pillow D.I.Y

It's almost mothers day and I needed an easy and cute project to make for my mom. Her favorite colors are black and red so I thought I would whip up this flower pillow.

What you need:

Fleece or felt

Scissors

Sewing machine

Matching thread

Pillow fabric

Two circle cut outs. I used a 3" circle and a 2" circle

Now pin and cut 35-40 Large circles and 20-25 Small circles. Depending on how big you want your flower

Cut all of your circles in half

Cut your pillow fabric i cut mine at 18.5" x 18.5"

Draw a big circle on one of the pieces of your pillow fabric. My circle was about 16".

Start placing the bigger half pieces around your circle and sew.

I did 5 rows of big half circles and then completed the pillow with the small half circles. Once you finish sewing all the layers, cut out a small circle and sew in the center.

Pin your pillow pieces together making sure the flower is on the inside. Leave a small opening to turn the fabric out so you can stuff it.

Stuff and close the opening and wah lah! Pillow for mom.

Hi Bloggies!

Now I dont usually ever post anything like this but this is very important to me and is a great cause.

I am a CrossFitter and CrossFit every year puts on a Fight Gone Bad event for lost and wounded worriers. This is a 17 minutes of pure hell and pain that we dedicate to the men and women who fight for our lives and safety everyday. We endure this 17 minutes because they and their families go through so much pain. The loss of a loved one, the wounded, the children left behind. Our 17 minutes is nothing compared to what they have to endure.

The money donated goes to wounded and lost soldiers families. Every penny counts so please help donate. This link is to my brothers page. I do not have a page but I am still donating and completing the workout. Please pass along this message and look into your change box for a few pennies or dollars.

I am a complete photo nerd. Anything photography and I am all over it. So when I saw this D.I.Y I had to take a moment to myself and nerd out. I am totally going to try this but haven't decided what color I want to use. I have tons of old film so all I need is the textile dye.

These pie pops are so cute ♥ swoon
I love to bake but don't do it much anymore because I don't eat processed food. Trying to stay healthy and fit with my CrossFit training. I am definitely going to try these those for the next get together.

I love to sew. Although I am still not fantastic at it I still like to get my practice in with new projects and this Circle Wrap Skirt is on my to-do list. It is so cute and can be made in so many different fabrics. Fabulous

This is such a great up-cycle project. Super easy and functional D.I.Y belt made from old t-shirts.

Holy sweet baby cheeses it's been a long time since I did one of these! I have to hand it to The Monster for keeping this blog humming when I get off track.
Okay, on to another obsession of mine...Peacock, like, everything! I even love the actual birds. The sound they make reminds me of the jungle and Gilligan's Island.

I think I have like 3 or 4 pairs of peacock earrings, but I need to add a purse or some other accessories to my collection.

I think single peacock feathers as a tattoo are so beautiful and they make a huge impact. Like this one, I love the colors!
(I must say though, that lady's face in the background is pretty priceless)

Peacock nails! I liked a lot of the ones I found, but this one had a tutorial with the colors she used! I also feel like I could do this one because, I do not have the patience to do detail work.

So, like many other bloggers, I also have a film camera and use it often. But my camera has been wonky and has been eating my film. I have tried just about everything to fix it and mess with it but cant get it to wind and unwind properly, plus it pulls the exposures leaving me with weird photos. Take a look

Here are a few pics that came out ok/interesting

I still love playing with my camera even if I only get a few shots out of it. Film is always a nice alternative to the digital world.

The Monster & Me have been very busy this weekend

Friday we went to the Etsy Party Hosted by Amy / IndieSacramento

Amy really is the Hostess with the Mostess and she knows how to throw a party! i.e Amyistheparty ;)

There was an awesome photobooth with tons of fun props

There was a ton of swag and cute everything. The raffle was full of Martha Stewart items and the tables were decorated with happy vintage fabric and sweet little decorations.

Everyone brought craft items that they no longer used/needed and everyone swapped supplies. I got some super cute fabric that I will probably hoard because I dont like sharing. haaha.

Saturday was the GETty Crafty Event at Fremont Park in downtown Sacramento

Our table was stocked with new monsters and other goodies

Our chairs got a happy summery makeover

We shared a booth with Jaymi who is one of our awesome crafty friends and is also the owner of Cooo. Super cute headbands ♥

And of course the one and only Mornings On Fire were our booth neighbors. You can never have a bad time with Cassie and Daniel around.

On the other side of us was the always lovely Lauren Smash! She makes the cutest stuff. (I am jealous of her awesomeness)

We are so glad we are friends with these awesome people. You should all check out their blogs and shops, you wont be disappointed

Last night was the epitome of social entertainment.

If you are local and have not heard of Sac Tweet Up, then you need to check it out.

Pirates! Arrrrr

So friday night Kristin and I dressed up like pirates and attended the Pirates themed bar crawl.

Mornings on fire put on such a great event, tons of people came and drank, everyone looked awesome!

So Cassidy posted about herself, so now I guess it's my turn. Here goes nothin'...

I prefer my pizza room temperature
I love the beach
I love to swim, and be in the water
I touch people a lot and I like to be touched…No! Not in a gross way! Things like hugs, and having my hair played with, and holding hands and cuddling. Ask Monster, she hates it!
I have a paper problem, my boyfriend calls it hoarding. I like to print stuff out because I want to read it or I read it and liked it, but then it ends up getting piled up.
I loooove to read, sometimes it doesn’t even matter what it is, I could read the cereal box.
I am a total cereal killer, I could eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and never get sick of it.
I wish I sat up more straight (I try, but I always forget)
I collect old, ugly things. I have a huge collection of kitschy mushroom stuff from the 70’s and I even bought a huge velvet painting of a Pegasus.
I still have no clue what I want to do with my life
I’m not from here, I was born and raised in Maryland
I hope to own a farm one day with a lot of animals
My boyfriend talked me into doing Crossfit with him, but I secretly love it. Okay, I don’t love it when I feel like I’m dying, but I think you get the idea.
I want to get a bunny, like right now, but I have to finish re-doing the craft room before that happens
My favorite color is purple
I tie my shoes like a 5 year old, really. I must be the only one besides actual 5 year olds because EVERYONE comments on it, seriously.
I love to take pictures and make stuff...well that one is kind of obvious.
I like sarcasm and stupid smart jokes the best.
I am a smart ass
I am 26
I have a dog, and he is my child.

I love mushrooms
I have a serious sweet tooth.

I am 23ish

♥ I love to drink tea and coffee, I am usually at It's A Grind Coffee House on saturday mornings

♥ I have two cameras and probably a third by the end of the year.

♥ I love tattoos, I have a giant dragonfly on my side/back and I am getting another tattoo on June 2nd! Super excited
♥ I am going to school for criminal justice and am hoping to some day be an emergency safety dispatcher.
♥ I like to karate chop people, ka-ka!

♥ I do CrossFit 5-6 Days a week

Here are some things we have planned for this month; come out, have fun, stalk us, say hi, we’re nice, swear!

This Saturday, May 14 we will be at the Midtown Bazaar on the corner of 16th and I street. We’ll be sharing a booth again with our buddy Cassie of Mornings on Fire. It’s so much fun to have other people there to laugh and hang out with!

Friday May 20 we will be dressing in our puffy shirts and best swashbuckling gear for the Pirates and Scallywags barrrrr crawl put on by Cassie and Daniel. It starts at the Golden Bear, be there or be square!

Tuesday May 24 is the Sac Tweet-up at Blue Cue in Midtown. I’m really enjoying these events because we seem to meet more and more awesome people every time. Alejandro does a great job putting these events together!

Well that covers all of the "official" stuff we have planned, but this month also includes movie dates with family, giving blood, and a spa day. So excited! I feel like everything is more alive as it gets warmer, even our social calendar!

Hello Lovelies!!

My name is Lee Lee, I run a brand called Just Because by Lee Lee where I make accessories and sell online and in craft shows. I graduated from Fashion Design almost 2 years and I have a regular job as a marketing assistant in an office from 8-5pm. I get design freelance job here and there plus I am so into this blogging thing participating in lots of fun projects, so yeah my life is a little hectic and I am in need of a 2 month vacation starting next month!

I am from Cartagena, Colombia - a tropical paradise- the thing is I am not into the beach or the sun... too bad I am currently also live in Miami, FL.. I like it here though, but don't go to the beach and I stay away from the sun! Cartagena is a beautiful city, very relaxing, I have all my friends and family, is where I call home.
